Started With a Truck

Háw'aa and welcome to The 626 Masset. Please make yourself at home in this recently created and unique food service establishment. It was first decided to open and start serving fish and chips using The 626 Fish N Chipper food truck. Having a passion for the local fare and especially the expanding menu the structures needed to be built to accommodate this. They bring a unique flare to the place apparent in the offerings and the decor. There are awesome examples of Haida art in a full gallery to explore and handmade pizza. Need I say more. Yes and more there is, real milkshakes and amazing drinks (non alcoholic and alcoholic) made from the best ingredients. The outdoor patio is bright and inviting to take in the sights of downtown and the inlet.

The Halibut

Living on Haida Gwaii has many advantages and having fresh seafood is one of them. So serving the freshest and most delicious local Halibut is paramount in this local restaurant. Pride goes into every dish. And thats just it... the variety in the menu is way beyond just Fish N Chips. Ice Cream Parlour, Pizzeria and Burger joint all rolled into one.

You can visit the vast sandy beaches that the North Beach has been famous for like this one at Tow Hill Beach. Mist quite apparent on the scene at Hiellen River where dip netting crabs from the surf has become popular. One of our delicious specials we offer is the dungeness crab as a topping on pizza.
